Due to the advent of affordable DVD recorders in recent years, VHS tapes and Video CDs have fallen into disfavor among traders. VHS tapes can vary wildly in both quality (generational loss, stereo/mono conversion, NTSC/PAL conversion, recording speed, etc etc) and content (as compilers slap on "Bonus Footage" and/or snip footage in order to fit it all on one tape.)

While VideoCD tends to lack the variation in quality, it retains the variation in content and tends to be highly compressed. I recommend avoiding either format and joining the 21st Century by switching to DVD-/+R trading. The reviews remain here because while the formats have fallen by the wayside, the content of the live shows do not.
