Well, let's get this out of the way : there is a lot of overlap here between this collection and other videos (most notably 'Roger Waters - Video Anthology' as well as 'Watching TV'.) So some of these tracks will refer back to other reviews. 'Kay ? OK.
5:01am (The Pros and Cons of Hitchhiking) - This is the exact same video that appears on 'Roger Waters - Video Anthology' and 'Watching TV', although it is in vastly superior quality that shames them both. Probably the best video quality it will ever be in....too bad the video itself amounts to so much hot buttered ass.
5:06am (Every Stranger's Eyes) - Same version found on 'Watching TV'.
4:41am (Sexual Revolution) / 1984 Tour Rehearsals / Across the Universe - Ripped from the 'Roger Waters - Video Anthology' VHS.
Radio Waves / Sunset Strip / Four Minutes / The Tide is Turning (After Live Aid) - Very clean VHS rip of the 'Radio KAOS Video EP'
1987 Tour Rehearsals / Jim Ladd Interview / 1987 Tour Rehearsals / Another Brick in the Wall (Part 2) - Ripped from the 'Roger Waters - Video Anthology' VHS.
Seville Guitar Legends Festival - All of this, yet again, covered on the 'Roger Waters - Video Anthology' review. However, it all comes from an extremely clean source that looks like it was taped just yesterday. Apparently a different source from that tape however, since the between-song chatter and 'What God Wants (Part 1)' are missing. 'What God Wants (Part 1)' is instead sourced from the 'Roger Waters - Video Anthology' VHS and placed at the end.
What God Wants (Part 1) [Version 1] / Interview / What God Wants (Part 1) [Version 2] - Pretty clean VHS rip of the 'What God Wants (Part 1) Video EP'
Three Wishes - The same clip as on 'Roger Waters - Video Anthology', but in bit better quality. Still not A+ quality, but a strong B+/A-
Lost Boys Calling - The same clip as on 'Watching TV', loads of Tim Roth banging away at a piano, prefaced with a brief (very brief) interview with Roger where he gives a short (very short) story about how the song was written, looking mighty spiffy (and possibly gay) in his pink shirt.
CNN Worldbeat - A brief interview with Waters (broadcast in September 1999) about his just-finished tour. Nothing here Rog-O-Philes don't already know (although his "[after the Walden concert in April 1992] I thought 'I must do this again.....some day'" provides a brief chortle.) Just a quick sketch of why he toured, what he wrote on the Wall at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (which we get a glimpse of), and about how the MAGIC is THERE and you can FEEL IT and HOLD IT IN THE PALM OF YOUR HAND and how it's VERY MOVING. All liberally sprinkled with live snippets (presumably from Atlanta) of 'In the Flesh', 'Mother', 'Another Brick in the Wall (Part 2)', and the promo video for 'Three Wishes'. The video quality is a bit grainy, but worth an A- or so. Nothing essential here, unless you always wanted to see Rog share a commercial bumper with James Taylor and a dessicated-looking Bonnie Raitt.
2000 Tour Commercial - Footage from 'The Wall : Live in Berlin' and 'The Wall' is shown over audio segments of 'Time', 'Welcome to the Machine', and 'Another Brick...' while Jim Ladd hypes the upcoming opening night in Tampa. Nothing essential, but I do find this kind of detritus interesting in a way.
In the Flesh 2002 - This comes from the Electronic Press Kit shown before the press conference in Paris to announce/promote the upcoming 2002 world tour. It opens with a clip of 'In the Flesh' (predictably enough) off the DVD. Then we go to the obligatory snippets of 'Arnold Layne' and 'See Emily Play' interspersed with press clippings from the era. A clip of 'Set the Controls....' from the DVD pops up next and offers the only new/semi-interesting thing on here, which is a brief look at the slides projected during the 2000 shows. A fast-forward pictorial history of Pink Floyd/Waters up through Dark Side follows (amazingly, they actually acknowledge 'More', 'Atom Heart Mother', 'Zabriskie Point', and 'Music from The Body' during this) with your standard-issue clips, pictures, and artwork 10-second retrospective for DSotM, WYWH, Animals, and The Wall following. Some brief shots of Scarfe's 'Pros and Cons...' artwork and clips from the 'Radio Waves', 'The Wall : Live in Berlin', and 'What God Wants (Part 1)' take us back to the beginning. All while scrolling text at the bottom tells us stuff we already know. Anyhoo, it's 10 minutes long and it offers nothing new or rare and I wasted way too much space describing something this inconsequential anyway.
