You just arrive home with your shiny new VHS copy of Waters' 1999 show in Toronto, fresh from E-Bay or your favorite record store ... excitedly pop it in ... and thrill to some TRS-80 generated lettering and 5 minutes of some dude's back and another guy's head.
No worries that clears up after a little while, tho' the first quarter of this tape suffers some from being shot in daylight, when the lights and Mr. Sheet weren't showing up so well. This is a nice partial 2-camera recording ... one camera generally stuck to decent close-ups of the band (sticking to the left side of the stage) and the other tended to have excellent wide shots of Mr. Sheet. The first camera occasionally has head obstructions, and the second seems to have been placed either on the floor or in someone's lap for the most part, so there are occasionally people walking across the field of view. Thankfully, obstructions are few and far between. One camera will occasionally focus on the standard-issue large amphitheater screens, which don't show up terribly well. There are some nice effects for an illegitimate tape (for example, the oil slide superimposed over the band during "Shine On"), and even a helpful man with a French accent announcing the date and venue during intermission. Standard-issue '99 performance, with a sort-of-funny moment during "Perfect Sense" when the sound dies completely, leaving Rog miming. You also get the standard amount of goofy/cheesy posing from Roger.
Overall, a decent quality video that would make a good souvenir for anyone who was there, despite "In the Flesh" being missing. I didn't have the time or inclination to do this for any other videos, but here's a nice blow-by-blow :
