Muddy video shot from high up and on the right? Must be an Unauthorized Roger Waters video. If you like 'Radio KAOS' shows (as I do), this one is worth trading for. The 'KAOS' concept, as silly as it is, gets the room to breathe here that it needs. Also, unlike the album, you understand that Roger *knows* it's silly, but is having lots of fun regardless. Anyway, the show quality is about average, maybe a little above average for an '87 concert, but the video quality isn't nearly as nice. Since the PA equipment obscures Mr. Screen, the action focuses entirely on the band and occasionally the electronic text bar that displayed Billy's speech.

Some entertaining surprises down there, though ... Andy Fairweather-Low's Gilligan hat makes an appearance, and Roger's mike dies during "Nobody Home." So he gets another. It doesn't work. So another. It doesn't work. He keeps his good humor despite lots of mic swapping with a roadie. The surreality factor shoots up during "Arnold Layne," during which the band take a seat and a man in a goofy Chef's hat serves them some tea. Then comes a bizarre Waters-grunt at the beginning of "Brain Damage," during which he gamely holds out the mike for the audience to sing along and is met with....near-silence. The most bizarre moment, at least to me, comes after the encore, when some happy asshole in the audience launches a roll of toilet paper at Roger. He looks stupidly at it for a second and then strikes a pose JUST LIKE THE FONZ. Ayyyyyyyyyyyyyy !
